Wild Berry Picking Walk

2 hours

Moderate

Embark on a wild Arctic adventure through Lapland's pristine forests, foraging for vibrant berries under the Midnight Sun while learning ancient traditions and savoring nature’s purest flavors straight from the source.

Discover the pure flavours of Finnish Lapland on a relaxing guided walk through Arctic forests while picking wild berries straight from nature.

We'll walk along easy forest trails to the best berry-picking areas, where your guide will introduce you to the edible wild berries that are in season. Depending on the time of year, you may find golden cloudberries from mid-July, followed by blueberries, lingonberries, crowberries, bog bilberries and, later in autumn, cranberries.

As we walk, you'll learn about Arctic nature, local traditions and how wild berries have been an important part of life in Lapland for generations.

One of the greatest pleasures of berry picking in Finland is enjoying the berries exactly where they grow. Our forests are so clean that the berries can be eaten straight from the plants—without washing or cooking. Fresh from the forest, they are at their very best.

The continuous daylight of the Midnight Sun helps Arctic berries develop exceptional flavour and naturally high levels of vitamins and antioxidants. Combined with a gentle walk through the forest, this experience becomes a true Arctic wellness journey.

You're welcome to take your berries home, enjoy them as a snack during the walk or leave them with us.

During July and early August you may encounter mosquitoes and other insects, which are a natural part of the northern summer. They are not dangerous to healthy people. If needed, we provide mosquito hats, and insect repellent may be applied to the skin. Please note that Thermacell devices are not permitted on our experiences.
