Reindeer Sleigh School – Meet Our Four-Legged Students

If you love animals, this is a tour you won’t want to miss. At our farm, we train reindeer to work safely and calmly with people – and for that, we have our very own Reindeer Sleigh School.

Come meet our charming students and learn about animal-friendly, force-free training methods that can be applied not only to reindeer but to many other animal species as well.

Our school has reindeer "students" ranging in age from around 8 months to 4 years. During your visit, you’ll get to know how we train them and discover the key principles, challenges, and successes of working with reindeer using positive reinforcement.

We train reindeer during the winter season (November to April). In the summer, our sleigh school students roam free in nature – but many still visit home almost daily to rest, snack, and check in. So if you're visiting in summer, there’s a good chance you’ll still meet a few of them at the farm!

Program includes:
– Introduction to reindeer training and animal welfare
– Introduction to force-free training methods based on trust and positive reinforcement
– Meeting and feeding our reindeer students
– Insight into how reindeer learn and what makes them such unique animals to work with
