Jingle Bells – A Reindeer Sleigh Ride

Join us for a peaceful reindeer sleigh ride through a snow-covered Arctic forest and discover the charm of Lapland’s oldest form of transportation. For generations, reindeer were the only way to travel across the vast, roadless wilderness of the North. Even in the 1960s and 70s, local families used their trusted sleigh reindeer to visit the village store or travel to school. While modern life has changed many things, reindeer remain the most magical way to journey through the Arctic.

Our sleigh ride offers a calm, unhurried experience in the heart of the wild, authentic Arctic landscape—far from crowds, noise, and city life. Guided by our beloved and well-trained reindeer, you’ll glide quietly through a fairy-tale winter forest. The only sounds around you are the soft crunch of snow, the gentle breath of the reindeer, and the stillness of nature. There’s no rush—just time to breathe, listen, and be present.

We keep our groups small or private to ensure a truly personal and meaningful experience. This is a moment to slow down and reconnect—with yourself, the animals, and the peaceful rhythm of the northern wilderness.

After the ride, you’ll have time to meet and feed the reindeer, getting close to these gentle and curious animals.

To finish, relax by a cozy open fire and enjoy warm drinks and fresh, home-baked pulla (a traditional Finnish sweet bun).

Come, unwind, and let the quiet magic of the Arctic carry you away.

    Exclusions

Transportation to the farm is not included in the tour. There is no public bus connection available, so you will need a car or a taxi to reach us.

Our location is approximately a 1 hour 15 minute drive from Rovaniemi city center, and also about one hour from Kittilä, Levi, and Ylläs.

Please note that winter clothing is not included. You will need to wear warm outdoor clothing suitable for Arctic weather conditions.

      Please note

Although we are officially part of Rovaniemi, our location is truly in the countryside. Here, you can experience the authentic atmosphere and magic of Lapland—surrounded by Arctic nature and reindeer living in their natural environment. It's the perfect place to pause and disconnect from the bustle of the city, and to reconnect with the quiet beauty of the North.

Our place is about halfway between Rovaniemi and Levi, making it an ideal stopover if you’re traveling between these two popular destinations.

The final 20 kilometers of the road leading to us is a small village road that winds through beautiful northern landscapes of hills and forests. It’s a narrow and occasionally winding route, where a safe and comfortable driving speed is around 50 km/h.

Please allow at least 30 minutes for this last stretch so you can drive calmly, safely, and take in the scenery.

In total, the journey from Rovaniemi city center takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. We kindly ask you to plan enough time for the drive to ensure a relaxed and stress-free arrival.

Please dress warmly for the tours. We do provide extra blankets and warm layers to keep you comfortable, but having your own proper winter clothing will always make the experience more enjoyable—especially in colder weather.

Children in particular must be dressed warmly. A proper winter hat is essential — earflap hats alone are not enough to protect little ears in Arctic temperatures.

The temperature limit for the outdoor tours is around –30°C. If the weather is colder than this, we will cancel the day’s outdoor tours for safety reasons and provide you a full refund of course.

Your comfort and safety — as well as that of our beloved reindeer — are always our top priorities.
