1 hour

Easy

Embark on an Arctic adventure and try your luck ice fishing on the wild River Ounasjoki, where you'll drill your own hole, chase elusive fish, and soak up the magic of Lapland's frozen wilderness with a local guide.

Experience one of Lapland's favourite winter traditions and try ice fishing on the beautiful River Ounasjoki with a local guide.

After a short introduction, we'll head onto the ice, where you'll learn the basics of traditional Finnish ice fishing and have the opportunity to drill your own hole and try your luck.

The River Ounasjoki is home to several fish species, including pike, grayling, perch, brown trout and burbot. As with all fishing, we can't guarantee a catch, but that's part of the experience.

If you're lucky enough to catch a fish, you're welcome to take it with you to prepare for your own dinner, or you can leave it with us.

Whether the fish are biting or not, ice fishing offers a peaceful way to experience the silence of the Arctic winter, enjoy the beautiful river landscape and learn about local traditions from your guide.
